It is warm and sunny. Bucky the dog and Bitt Bitt the rabbit want to go to the beach. Today is warm and sunny. Bucky and Bitt Bitt decide to go to the beach. They are thinking of what they’d like to do at the beach. What are Bucky and Bitt Bitt thinking? 1

“How can we get there?” asks Bucky. “Let’s take a ferry,” says Bitt Bitt. Bucky and Bitt Bitt will take a ferry to Lamma Island. Have you ever been on a ferry? 2

They go to an island called Lamma. There are many people on the beach. After an hour, they arrive at Lamma Island. It is an island in the south of Hong Kong. What can you see? 3

It is very hot. Bucky likes swimming. Bucky enjoys swimming a lot, especially as it is such a hot day. How many fish are swimming with Bucky? 4

Bitt Bitt is playing in the sand. Bitt Bitt does not want to swim, so she builds a sandcastle on the beach. Who is building a sandcastle with Bitt Bitt? 5

Bucky thinks that there is a crocodile swimming toward her. While Bucky is swimming, she feels something poking at her feet. She thinks that it is a set of crocodile’s teeth! “Woof! Woof! There is a crocodile biting my feet,” barks Bucky. Is Bucky afraid? Why? 6

Bitt Bitt sees that it is just a can. Bitt Bitt hops over to see what is happening. “Don’t worry, Bucky. It’s just a can floating in the water,” she says. Who put the can in the sea? 7

Bucky continues to swim. This time, there is something tying her feet together. She thinks that it is the arms of an octopus. “Help! There is an octopus grabbing my feet,” calls Bucky. How many arms does the octopus have? Bucky thinks that there is an octopus swimming toward her. 8

Bitt Bitt sees that it is just a rope. Bitt Bitt hops over again to see what is happening. “Don’t worry, Bucky. It’s just a rope in the water,” says Bitt Bitt. Who put the rope in the sea? 9

Bucky thinks that there is a shark swimming towards her. As Bucky swims towards the shore, she sees something moving towards her. She thinks that it is a shark’s fin and is very frightened. “Help! There is a shark coming. It’s going to bite me!” Do you think there is really a shark in the sea? 10

Bitt Bitt sees that it is just a shoe. Again, Bitt Bitt hops over to see what is happening. “Don’t worry, Bucky. It is just an old shoe floating in the sea” says Bitt Bitt. Who put the old shoe in the sea? 11

“Why is there so much rubbish in the sea?” asks Bucky. “I don’t know,” says Bitt Bitt. “But it’s sad that people do not care about the environment. I know, let’s pick up the rubbish and put it in the bin!” What rubbish can you see on the beach? 12

Bucky and Bitt Bitt put the rubbish into the rubbish bin. Bucky and Bitt Bitt pick up all the rubbish. They put it into the rubbish bin. Why are Bucky and Bitt Bitt picking up the rubbish? Are they being helpful? 13

Bucky and Bitt Bitt are very happy to see the clean beach. After such a busy day, Bucky and Bitt Bitt are very tired, but happy to leave a clean beach for others. Will you pick up the rubbish when you see it? Hurray! We love the clean beach on Lamma Island! 14
