Our after-school sports teach our students Honor-roll and Perfect Attendance Celebrations Advanced technology Mariachi Band Burbank Elementary Mariachi Program explores the different regional music of Mexico that is commonly played by Mariachis, such as: rancheras, boleros, polkas, huapangos, sones jalicienses, and jarabes. Our after-school sports teach our students discipline, good sportsmanship and teamwork. Students at Burbank have the opportunity to participate in co-ed basketball or soccer team.  

Students learn in music classes the fundamentals of music, music history and culture, note-reading and beat counting. We prepare our students to compete throughout the city of Houston as well as perform at school functions Music Department The Burbank Elementary School’s Dance Program is designed to encourage confidence, self-esteem, and self-discipline. Students develop movement skills and learn dances from many cultures.   Dance Department The purpose of the choir program at Burbank is to continue the development of music appreciation and understanding through study and performance of vocal music.
