It starts with you. If not you, then WHO?

We look alike because we differ. Diversity is our driving force and our inspiration

CHARTER OF FUNDAMENTAL RIGHTS OF THE EUROPEAN UNION Any discrimination based on any ground such as sex, race, color, ethnic or social origin, genetic features, language, religion or belief, political or any other opinion, membership of a national minority, property, birth, disability, age or sexual orientation shall be prohibited.

WHAT ‘DIVERSITY’ MEANS It means understanding that each individual is unique, and recognizing our individual differences.

DEFINITION OF DIVERSITY Diversity covers the dimensions of : Race Ethnicity Gender Sexual orientation Socio-Economic status Age Physical Abilities Religious beliefs Political beliefs Other Ideologies

RACE DIFFERENCES Sometimes we have to see people as a crayon. They may not be our favorite color, but we need them to complete the picture.

ETHNICITY - CULTURE

GENDER Men and women should be equal : Among the members of a family At school At work

SEXUAL ORIENTATION Don’t judge someone by his/her sexual preferences

SOCIO – ECONOMIC STATUS He is poor…………… the other one is wealthy. Both of them are beautiful.

AGE Never forget that they used to be where we are and one day we will be where they are now.

PHYSICAL DISABILITIES ‘There is no greater disability in society, than the inability to see a person as a more.’ Robert Hensel

RELIGIOUS BELIEFS No matter what religion you follow; as a spiritual person you should always show respect and love for other people, even those who do not believe in God at all. God loves all of his children and wants them to be happy. Showing respect for religious beliefs of others reflects your love for God.

POLITICAL BELIEFS "I disapprove of what you say, but I will defend to the death your right to say it“ Evelyn Beatrice Hall

Enjoy the game, do not fight the opposite fans They want to enjoy the game too.

WHAT WE SHOULD DO Explore the differences Understand each other Embrace diversity Celebrate diversity

RESPECT DIVERSITY IN SCHOOL We may all be different fish, but in this school we swim together

Pulling someone down will never help you reach the top.
