 Physical changes -when matter changes size, shape, state, etc, but is still same matter  Be able to identify an example of a physical change  Chemical change –when new substances are created due to a reaction between substances  Be able to identify an example of a chemical change

 One baking pan  One box of yellow cake mix  Two cans of peaches  One stick of butter or margarine  One plastic knife for cutting peaches Yellow cake mix

 Pour peaches into pan, cut the pieces in half  Pour cake mix over the peaches  Spread it out carefully so it does not spill  Cut up the margarine and place the pieces around on the cake mix  Bake at 350 for minutes
