The Great Ibstock Christmas Cupcake Bake Off!

This is an inter house Christmas competition. Each tutor group will decide on a design and nominate two people to cook and decorate a batch of Christmas cupcakes. They will bake off against the other tutor groups in their house and a winner will be decided. An overall winner will be picked from the four houses. Prizes will be given at the end of term assemblies. The bakes will be judged by special guests to be announced! (Mary Berry, Paul Hollywood, Mel and Sue? )

The judges will be looking for………. a soft, light and well risen cake bake. a Christmas theme. They must be …………. accurately iced and decorated. all the same size creative and original You can make 12 small or 6 large cupcakes. Recipes for the cake base must be collected from Mrs Higginson. You must use this recipe.

Timescale. A design from each tutor group is to be given to Heads of House by Friday 13th November Making will be over two lunchtimes in DT5 on the following dates. 18 th /19 th November Brunel 25 th /26 th November De Vinci 2 nd /3 rd December Nightingale 9 th /10 th December Shakespeare Tutor groups are to provide all ingredients. Ingredients must be weighed and measured ready to make on the day. Baking trays and equipment will be provided by Mrs Higginson
