Present perfect tense

We use present perfect to express an action that was completed a short time ago.

What’s theform ?

It is formed from( has or have) + past participle

Key words for present perfect tense Since never For ever Yet just already

She has finished her school.

Since We use since to express a certain point of time in the past until now For example: I have been to London since She has waited you since 6 o’clock. Ali has gone to Egypt since last March. I have been absent since Monday.

For We use for to express a length of time that has continued till now. I have stayed in the hotel for three days. They have studied for 5 hours. My family have lived in Qatar for 4 years.

Ever We use ever in the questions. For example: Have you ever cooked ? Have they ever been to England ? Has your mother visited the Zoo ? Have you ever won a medal ?

Never We use never in the negative form of the present perfect tense ? Have you ever visited U.S.A ? No, I have never visited U.S.A
