 Take the PSAT’s October 17, cost $14.00  Deadline to register September 27  Ms. Haskins- B200 pod  Take the SAT’s in the spring  Use your college board account to prepare  Cont. to play sports, volunteer, show leadership  Talk to your parents about planning college visits  Ms. Miller B200 pod can assist

 Tests- critical reading skills, math problem solving, & writing skills  Juniors- National Merit Scholarship consideration  In 2011, the average SAT scores for college bound seniors:  reading score: 497  math: 514  writing: 489  PSAT’s = practice!  Be better than the average!

 Calendar of key application deadlines  Cont. to look for scholarships  Internal college deadline for scholarships  Apply early  SENDedu and CommonApp (will need my  Keep up your grades  Turn in your resume’  Ms. Miller in B200 will work with you on the FAFSA
