An Overview of Year 10 Throughout Year 10 Controlled Assessments

Replacement for former ‘coursework’. The task may be set directly by the Awarding Body, or it may be adapted by the school to suit the students’ learning. Research can be done unsupervised out of the classroom. Writing-up will need to be done in the classroom in normal lesson times. The usual practice is that controlled assessments are marked by teaching staff (and then moderated by the Awarding Body).
