The plan of my lesson Analysis of the Teaching Material & Students; Analysis of the Teaching Methods; Analysis of the Studying Methods; Analysis of the Teaching Procedures; Blackboard Design.

Part1 Analysis of the teaching material and students Teaching Material: This is the first period of Unit6, it is about the usage of “be going to” to express the future. This language structure is the basis of the whole unit. It has some relation with “Will people have robots?” in Unit7. ; Learning Conditions: 1 for more than one year so far; 2 can speak simple English; 3 take a great interest in English; 4 limited vocabularies and speaking skills.

Analysis of the teaching material Teaching Aims: 1 knowledge objectives new words and phrases: grow up, computer programmer, engineer, violinist, scientist,study computer science, take acting lessons, study maths really hard. Expressions: What are you going to be when you grow up? I’m going to be a... How are you going to do that? I’m going to... 2 Ability Objects: 1) To learn to use future tense “be going to” to talk about future dreams.2) To develop the Ss’ abilities of listening, speaking, reading and writing.3) To train the ability of cooperation. 3 Moral Objects: Learn to talk about future jobs and discuss what one should do to make his dream come true, and encourage students to work hard for their dreams.

1.Ask the students to remember the words about jobs and the usage of future tense. 2.How to make dialogues and act them out; how to co-operate with each other.

By showing some pictures, I’ll present new jobs such as: Step 2: Presentation computer programmer pilot basketball player 设计意图:利用多媒体展示图片引入新词汇,直观、形象,印象深刻。 Memory challenge 中采用比赛的方式,更能调动学生的积极性。 1)Students will try to pronounce the words according to the pronunciation by themselves, then let the students check their pronunciation by listening and repeating, next let the students practice. 2)Memory challenge Let students look at the slide picture and speak out the jobs.

Step 3: Pairwork 1. Present the usage of the structure “be going to”and new phrase “grow up” 2. Practice the conversation: A: What do you want to be/are you going to be when you grow up? B: I’m going to be a … What do you want to be when you grow up? I’m going to be a computer programmer. What is she going to be when she grows up? She’s going to be… 设计意图:结合实际谈论自己的个人成长计划,引导学生谈论自己的将来计划, 学习新句型。 It can present the target language and improve their listening and speaking skills.

B: I’m going to … 设计意图:通过小组自由练习操练本课重点句型。

Step 5:Listening 1.Look at the Ex.1b: Listen and match the items below. 设计意图 : 通过听、说、读,进一步巩固所学知识 1. computer programmer a. take acting lessons 2. basketball player b. study computer science 3. engineer c. practice basketball every day 4. actor d. study math really hard 2 Listen and Repeat. ( boys A, girls B) 3 Role Play (team1 A, team2 B) 4 Ask the students to practice and have a show. (Ten pairs will have the chance.)

Step 6: Play a game 接龙: 以每一坚排座位的同学为一组,把全班 同学分为几个组,第一个同学问他后面第二个 同学 What do you want to be /are you going to be when you grow up? 第二个同学必须用基本 句型 I’m going to be a … 回答,第二同学再用 What are you going to be when you grow up? 问第三个同学,回答完之后再继续问第四 个 …… 以此类推, 直到问完, 完成得最快的那一组 就是胜利者. 设计意图:以游戏开展活动即活跃课堂气氛又加强学生对新句型与新单词的记忆力

Step 7: Survey & Report 1 Let students make a survey using the target language and fill in the survey chart. names What are you going to be when you grow up? How are you going to do that? 2 Let one student in one group report like this: In my group,…is going to be a/an…, he/she is going to… …is going to be a/an…, he/she is going to… I think we should study hard from now on to make our dreams come true. 设计意图: It can cultivate the spirit of cooperation and train the Ss’ abilities of listening and speaking.

Step 9: Sum up I’d like some Ss to summarize what we have learnt as usual, and choose the best group in this class. 设计意图 : It can help my students have a clear mind of today’s topic.

Step 10: Homework 1.Write down the new words and phrases in today’ class and make a dialogue. 设计意图 :My goal is to consolidate what they have learnt and prepare for the next lesson.
