Our Goal and Purpose Bring awareness of other cultures to promote respect through mutual communication that will lower misunderstanding. Meanwhile, learn various activities to apply in the classroom.

Family Structure Who is in your family? order of importance, or in charge Have students write down the family members in their house. Then use the family member names to place them on the board.

Family Structure Now use the other paper and do the same for what you think is the typical American family. Order of importance Show the word extended on board to show what Americans call the family and what they call extended family. Discuss changes in American family due to divorce (50%+), single parent families, etc.
