Basic Facts A Specific Support Action Lektor deals with legal issues for SMEs in e-business including digital business ecosystems 24 months duration (from 1 June 2006 to 31 May 2008) 6 Partners from 6 countries (Spain, UK, Italy, US, Chile and India)

LEKTOR objectives LEKTOR will identify legal e-business issues from the user side LEKTOR will raise awareness of legal issues in e- business LEKTOR will provide solutions for legal knowledge sharing that supports SMEs and helps overcoming legal insecurities

LEKTOR results LEKTOR knowledge exchange platform containing legal support in e-business: eCatalogue of legal issues for eBusiness: “Wiki-legal” Basic content Forums: on-line Q and A on legal issues Participation by registered users Blogs: set up by qualified users Exchange Platform: document up-load and exchange

LEKTOR challenges Successfully raise awareness on legal issues for e- business; & at the same time: Convince companies that in most cases legal issues are not “problems” but “issues” that can be dealt with. Convince companies that a P2P platform for sharing experience is an easy-to-use tool which brings benefits to them: –Introduce “lean-back” tools and processes into “lean-forward” activities –Understand the benefit of “sharing”

Use LEKTOR as legal awareness raising tool so that it becomes a one-stop-shop for legal e-business issues Refer to LEKTOR for first legal information on a general level Contribute actively to the LEKTOR content in order to a) convey YOUR message b) promote YOUR experience for, eventually, one-to-one consultancy How USERS can benefit from LEKTOR
