Valentine Parties School Valentine Parties will be Friday, February 12 th. Parents are welcome to attend their child’s Valentine Party! You should be receiving information from your child’s teacher regarding time of the party. Please remember that all volunteers going on field trips or attending classroom parties will need to have a background check on file with Dallas R-1 Schools per school board policy. A Missouri State Highway Patrol background check can be obtained online at for a cost of $ The results are immediate, and you will be provided a certificate that you can print and present to the school office. If you need assistance with obtaining your online background check, please call or come into the school office and we will help you with the process. Mallory Memo 1 Little Black Visits Mallory! Horses of Hope paid a visit to Miss Lenz and Mrs. Holt’s Kindergarten classes on Thursday, January 14th. Shannon Stewart, from Horses of Hope, brought a pony named "Little Black" to meet the students. After the students had a chance to pet (and hug) Little Black, Shannon announced to the classes that each student would be receiving a copy of the book "Little Black, a Pony" by Walter Farley, the same author that wrote the best selling novel "The Black Stallion". The books were presented to the students courtesy of Horses of Hope and Dollar General. Little Black shared many hugs with our kids, and Miss Lenz even stood still long enough to do an interview with KOLR 10 and the Buffalo Reflex. Learning is a lot of fun at Mallory! Kimberly Evans from Mrs. Duskin's fourth grade and Sophia Jason from Mrs. Quigley's fourth grade have each read over ONE MILLION words this school year. WOW!!! We're very proud of you. Title I Elementary School Planning Meeting February 11, :00 AM or 6:00 PM Mallory Cafeteria Please join us to provide parent input as we develop our Title I Schoolwide Plan. We encourage parents to be involved with school planning. We are proud of our school, students, and teachers, but we do recognize that there is always room for improvement. We had great input through our Parent Involvement Survey. We will be sharing survey information at our meetings. We scheduled two meetings in hopes that parents would have an opportunity to attend one of the meetings. We know parents have busy schedules, but might be able to attend one of the meeting times.
