Chef On the job Chef’s have many tasks like… They prepare and present food to a client/custimer. To develop new foods and new ways to prepare them.

Hours The average hours that a chef works are…. Around 9 hours a day. Usually your day will start just before the restaurant opens and just after the restaurant closes.

Salary? The average salary for a chef just starting out is…. Around 50,000 a year and that is just starting out a seasoned chef can earn more then 100,000 a year depending on were you work.

Amount of education To be a head chef it takes 4 years of culinary school plus you need at least 2 years of job experience.

Is this job in demand? Yes. A chef’s job is in high demand for the year and is excepted to be needed for years to come.
