Main Characters Mama- mama is the mom in the book and that is what the little girls call their mom in the story she is very nice, giving and helpful. Papa- Papa is the dad in the story and he is a very brave and hardworking man because he works in the woods every day and there are always something in the woods that could get him but he knows that he just needs to be careful and keep a sharp eye out just in case. Mary- Mary is the older sister of Laura and Carrie. Mary is a sweet little girl who always loves to help with things around the house and in the woods if she can. Laura- Laura is one of the little sisters of Mary. Laura is very nice and sweet. Laura loves to help her mama her papa and her sisters with whatever they need help with and she loves to play all day in the little wood cabin. Carrie- Carrie is the little baby girl mama takes care of Carrie the most but papa will come here and there to help out with things. Laura and Mary love to help out with their little baby sister and they both love to play with Carrie.

Summary Little house in the big woods is about two girls and a baby sister and their parents living in the big woods in a little wood house. The girls in the book love to help out with activities in the woods and they like to help out with anything their names are Laura, Mary and their baby sister Carrie. Laura and Mary have fun adventures in the woods and they both love when their papa tells them story’s about the woods.

recomendations I recommend this book because it is a very good book about a family that lives in a wood house in the woods and it has great detail about what the woods look like when it is winter or spring and the book is based on a really cool subject.
