I - Aid What is Aid? According to the OECD’s DAC, aid includes projects and programs, cash transfers, deliveries of goods, training courses, research projects, debt relief operations, and contributions to non- governmental organizations - Aid is generally thought of as Official Development Assistance (ODA) 4

II - The OAP Who We Are The OAP convenes… …to maximize the impact of aid-related resources Donors Governments Civil Society 11

II - The OAP Our Mission To improve the supply of and demand for open aid data, building the capacity of our stakeholders to collaboratively leverage it for: -improved planning, management, and coordination of aid-related decision making -enhanced development outcomes 12

II - The OAP Launched in 2011, hosted by the World Bank Group Partners: Bolivia, Canada, Czech Republic, Estonia, Finland, Honduras, Kenya, Malawi, Nepal, the Netherlands, Sierra Leone, Spain, Sweden, the United Kingdom, as well as African Development Bank, Development Gateway, the Foundation Center, InterAction, ONE, Publish What You Fund, UN-Habitat, USAID, and the World Bank Group. OAP currently implements activities in 5 partner countries: Bolivia, Kenya, Malawi, Nepal, and Sierra Leone OAP is in discussions with Honduras, Liberia, Mozambique, and Tunisia Our Background 14
