Speed improvements Backup speed, specifically after the initial backup, to the xSP device or NovaBACKUP’s Online Storage Partners has been drastically increased. Restore time from all devices has been significantly reduced from large backups. Open file backups on Vista, Windows 2008, and Windows 7 is significantly faster. Ability to do a ‘staged backup’ to a local device, such as a USB drive, for the initial backup when backing up to the xSP device or NovaBACKUP’s Online Storage Partners. Notification improvements A notification will appear when ever a operation, such as a backup, has been done and give a quick summary if it was good or not. A notification will appear if during a scheduled backup if the device or media is not available and allow you to insert the needed device or media. Upon a missed backup, such as the computer was off during the scheduled time, a choice to run it now or not is presented. 8
