CHAPTER 8 LESSON 1 FITNESS

FITNESS ACTIVITY TOMORROW IN CLASS. Fitness Wear comfortable, modest clothes tomorrow. You will be on the floor, jumping, etc. no dresses, skirts, sandals, flip flops, belt loops, etc.

VOCABULARY Totally fit—able to handle physical, mental emotional, and social day-to-day challenges without feeling exausted. Physically fit--ready to handle what ever comes your way Aerobic exercise—is non-stop repetitive, vigorous exercise that increases breathing and heartbeat rates. Uses oxygen(air) Anaerobic exercise--great bursts of energy in which the muscles work hard to produce energy. Without lots of oxygen.

Benefits of fitness 1- able to do things without being tired out of breath-stronger 2- heart supplies body with food and oxygen 3- more energy 4- feel good 5- social life better-you look better, more confidence, opportunities to meet new people 6- mental health is better –higher self esteem, stress releif, clears your mind, improves your mood.
