U.S. Space & Rocket Center Space Academy for ages is an exciting, five-night adventure that is both educational and exhilarating. The program incorporates real-world applications of science, technology, engineering and math education. Trainees prepare to become the new generation of lunar explorers, with hands-on activities that place them in the role of spacecraft designers/mission controllers and astronauts. Trainees take a simulated walk on the moon in the 1/6th gravity chair and gain understanding of what it's like to work in a frictionless environment in the manned maneuvering unit. They build and launch a two-stage model rocket and gain teamwork and management skills at Area 51, the leadership reaction course. Trainees are equipped with modern spaceflight knowledge and as they prepare to be future space pioneers

U.S. Space & Rocket Center Aviation Challenge® MACH II is a military-style program for middle school students that uses simulated, realistic combat scenarios while teaching pride, professionalism and leadership. MACH II builds on Aviation Challenge MACH I curriculum as trainees take on more complex challenges, experience our one-of-a-kind centrifuge simulator, build shelters and learn how to find food in advanced wilderness training, and practice water-survival skills with hands-on activities in our onsite manmade lake that is treated to swimming pool standards. Trainees learn about aeronautics, propulsion, aviation history, flight fundamentals and leadership. Through fast-paced, exciting flight simulators, they master aerial combat or air-to-air skills that put them to the test during our ultimate Top Gun competition where Newton’s Laws of Motion and the Bernoulli’s Principle take on new meaning. The U.S. Space & Rocket Center is located in Huntsville, Alabama.

Academic Talent Development Program The ATDP offers challenging and enriching academic summer courses for students passionate about learning. The Elementary Division is for those completing K-6th grade and is held near UC Berkeley. The Secondary Division is for those completing 7th– 11th grade and brings academically talented students to the Berkeley campus for a six-week academic adventure. Unlike many other summer programs, ATDP offers courses that focus on acquisition of deep knowledge in a single topic. Secondary Division students are invited to immerse themselves and gain expertise in a subject that interests them.

Spectrum The Spectrum program at Center for Talent Development (CTD) combines rigorous academic experiences with fun and exciting social opportunities, as a part of the Northwestern University summer program. Studying at a world- class university in challenging courses, participating in recreational and social activities, and enjoying the cultural riches of a great city define the Spectrum experience. The Spectrum program provides accelerated learning experiences specifically designed for academically talented students completing grade 7 or 8.

Sacramento State Academic Talent Search Experience a collegiate environment while learning from university professors, area public and private school instructors, and leading industry professionals in ATS' 6th-9th grade program. Students gain self- confidence and independence while being treated like "college students" on the Sacramento State campus. Courses allow students to accelerate their learning in traditional subjects like English, mathematics, and foreign languages or to discover new academic and creative challenges in areas not often available in regular school (for example, game programming, criminal law, anthropology, and astrobiology).

Canada/USA Mathcamp 2016 Canada/USA Mathcamp 2016 takes place at Colby College in Waterville, ME from July 3 to August 7, Mathcamp is an intensive 5-week-long summer program for mathematically talented high school students, designed to expose these students to the beauty of advanced mathematical ideas and to new ways of thinking. More than just a summer camp, Mathcamp is a vibrant community, made up of a wide variety of people who share a common love of learning and passion for mathematics. At Mathcamp, students can explore undergraduate and even graduate-level topics.

Davidson THINK Summer Institute Gifted students interested in a challenging academic summer program should consider attending the Davidson THINK Summer Institute on the campus of the University of Nevada, Reno. Applicants must demonstrate both exceptional ability and the potential to benefit from the course offerings, as well as the social and emotional maturity and organizational skills to thrive in this three-week residential environment.

Center for Talented Youth In CTY science courses, students rediscover the world around them. They learn to ask questions and are challenged to explain their observations. Students develop their own theories, then test and refine them through experimentation. They also share their results with each other in order to develop a deeper understanding of the natural world. Courses cover special topics that typically are not part of the standard middle or high school curriculum. Students spend at least two hours a day doing laboratory exercises, hands-on activities, or field work. Classes take place at The Johns Hopkins Center for Talented Youth in Baltimore.

Texas A&M University at Galveston Marine Biology Research (Talented And Gifted) (one of several offerings) (ages 14-18) Discover marine biology by exploring the diverse habitats of Galveston Island. Wade in the salt marshes of Galveston Bay and learn why this is a valuable resource. Work alongside Texas A&M University at Galveston faculty and graduate students to collect pelagic and benthic organisms. Take a trip aboard a research vessel. Learn about endangered sea turtles and visit a sea turtle hatchery. Learn about marine mammals of the Gulf of Mexico and help conduct a dolphin survey. This course is designed for students seeking field experience in the marine environment. Students will also design an original research project and presentation

Project Scientist Summer Academy Camp If you believe your daughter, age 4-12, would benefit from a community of like-minded girls that enjoy exploring through the sciences and celebrating their accomplishments, then Project Scientist is a place just for her! Surrounded by brilliant and passionate STEM teachers, professors, and professionals, your daughter will be inspired and provided the right tools to reach her highest potential. Over the course of six weeks students are immersed in STEM, learning from a tailored curriculum facilitated by highly skilled and credentialed educators, exciting hands-on experiments and field trips, and daily interactions with female STEM role models from a variety of professional fields. This is located at CalTech.
