General Info. Cont’d Robert graduated 2 nd in his class w/o single demerit against his name June 30, 1831 he married Mary Ann Randolph Custis 7 children, all 3 sons served in Confederate army
His Health He suffered from heart disease This may have had something to do with the massive stroke he had on September 28, 1870

Conclusion… Robert E. Lee was an important general that led the south thru good and bad times. Robert was a great leader and without him the south would have surely lost the war (anyway). With his help, the south had a chance.
