China project About Land, water, climate, vegetation, natural resources, etc.

China is the country that has the most people of all the countries. Also, it is the third largest country, next to Russia and Canada. It has a desert named the Taklamakan Desert, which is one of the world’s hottest desert. The largest structure in the world is also in China, which is called the Great Wall of China. Its land is divided into three areas. One of them includes the largest plateau in the world, The Plateau of Tibet. A lot of mountains are located in this place, and all the mountains in China cover more than one third of the China’s land. For example, between Tibet and Nepal, there is a mountain range called The Himalayan Range. The world’s highest mountain is located in this range, which is the Mt. Everest. China the land by Bobbie Kalman

vegetation In all the countries that produce cotton, China is the world’s largest producer of cotton. In China’s plain, it grows good crops of beans, potatoes, onions, melons, and millet. Also, in one single year, Chinese farmers grow two crops of rice and a third crop of winter wheat. These are all grown in the southeast. The reason why farmers have to farm every bit of land is because they have to feed China’s large population. So they try to grow as many crops as they can. They sometime grow crops in the roads. China the land by Bobbie Kalman

Time they grow crops The time the Chinese farmers start to grow crops are spring. While seeds are sprouting, farmers prepare for the rice fields to make it more fertile. When the rice or other crops are ready to produce, they are packaged to be sold. China the land by Bobbie Kalman

Beijing is China’s capital city. Even though it is 800years old, it’s mixed with old and new. This city is also known as the Imperial Palace. And this city is one of the most ancient city in China. This area is taking place of square kilometers, and about million people live there. Its history started years ago. Beijing was a capital city in China since 800years ago. From that time, China started to develop interesting things.

Population in China’s city Shanghai 20,600,000 (2007) Beijing 15,850,000 (2007) Shenzhen 13,300,000 (2007) Guangzhou 15,000,000 (2007) Hong Kong 6,840,000 (2007) These are some of the city’s population in China.

China’s water. ?? China’s water are polluted with many harmful chemicals. These happen almost everywhere in China, and they adopted a strategy manage water issues. The strategies include how to prevent form water pollution, and reducing them. China I supposed to be responsible for their water. They should stop polluting them. Instead, they should respect the water.

Temperature of North. In winters of the north, from December to March,it’s usually extremely cold. Beijing has a temperature of - 20C at night, with no sun at all. During the summer, from May to August, Beijing’s temperature can go until 38C. A just right season to visit the north is spring and autumn. Daytime temperatures are about 20C to 30C.

Temperature of South In Guangzhou, July and September are the seasons for typhoons. Temperatures can rise to 38C. Winters are pretty short, from January to March. In the South, Autumn and Spring is a good time to visit, with day temperatures in the 20C to 25C. Sometimes it can also get cold with drizzles and rain, which comes up to 76cm or 30inch per year.

China’s natural resources. These are the list of China’s natural resources: coal, petroleum, natural gas, tin, tungsten, magnetite, aluminum, lead, and many other resources. The resources are located in different parts of China. Many of these are traded with other countries, especially the coal. It’s traded with others and Southeast of China.

Historic tradition. A historic tradition in China can be a dragon culture. Dragons are an important part of Chinese tradition, and when they often have parades, Chinese dress up like dragons. Another of the many Chinese cultural traditions is the bamboo culture. Bamboo is a type of plant seen often in China. Bamboo chopsticks were used many times in China,(long time ago). And bamboo is also made out of Chinese flute. There are many other things used by bamboos such as paintbrush. Even bamboo festivals make bamboo more famous.

People in China. China has about 340 million families, with 3.63 people per family on average. In addition, family members share the housework,(like teamwork. Often working together) They divide the work into equal amounts and start working together. The Chinese people also think it’s a great importance between family members and relatives like parents, children, brothers and sister, uncles, aunts.

Culture One important culture that is very common is porcelain pottery. Some experts say that the first porcelain that was made in China was during the Han dynasty. There are many kinds of porcelain made of different shapes, sizes, and colors. When we first see the picture of it, most of us will realize that it is from China.

Transformation Nowadays, China is developing in a very high speed, even though it was a poor country long time ago. Korea and Japan are both China’s greatest trading partner. These days, we can see in our pencil case that most are from China. And so as Japan’s product. They include many of the Chinese product. So by trading, China’s economy is growing.

Bad development As time passes, in many countries, including China, the most harmful and dreadful problem is “pollution” There are many in China because many people are not respecting the water. And also, as time passes, Chinese need more and more product. This makes more and more factories to produce more products. Unfortunately, this makes air pollution.

Another bad devel. There is also a common thing in China which is a big problem since it spreads to Korea often. Not only does Chinese experience it, but so as Korean. So it’s actually making things double-worse. For doing one thing wrong, we’re destroying two countries. This problem is called “Yellow dust.” Last year in Korea, we all must have experienced this yellow dust. This makes people have diseases. Yellow dust is formed because there are too many trees cut down. So just by cutting down a lot of trees, it kills people. Not only in that country, but other countries, too. While China is transforming, or developing, it can face some trouble. China the culture./people
