Learning to Tell a Story Select a story that you like and that fits your personal style of telling. Analyze a story to find the beginning and ending, the order of the plot sequence, the climax and memory hooks. Repetition - Look at the story to see if there are any parts that can be told the same way throughout the story. Sometimes, this makes stories easier to tell and more fun to listen to. Rehearse – Tell your story at least once all the way through without stopping before going back to look at the story or at your notes.
