C2CoE Mission and Vision MISSION To support NATO, nations and international institutions or organisations by providing subject matter expertise on all aspects of the Command and Control process with a focus on the operational environment VISION “To become in the domain of C2 a national and international main source of expertise for transformation by networking with SNs, ACT and ACO and other international institutions/organizations”

Working Definition C2 C2 enablers are personnel, equipment, communications, facilities and procedures employed by a commander in planning, directing, coordinating and controlling forces and operations in the accomplishment of the mission. “The exercise of authority and direction by a properly designated commander over assigned forces in the accomplishment of a mission”

Network Enabled Capability NEC / NCO: A continuously-evolving, complex community of people, devices, information and services interconnected by a communications network to optimise resources management and provide superior information on events and conditions needed to empower decision makers. “NATO Network Enabled Capability is the Alliance cognitive and technical ability to federate the various components of the operational environment from the strategic level down to the tactical level through a networking and information infrastructure” NATO Network Enabled Capability resides in a coherent approach to the development of technical and operational interoperability standards and targets for adoption.
