Chris Plummer - 31/3/2003 SOIF First Feedback on the SOIF Documentation

Chris Plummer - 31/3/2003 SOIF Background The SOIF draft documentation has been read by a number of interested parties: Potential implementers Potential project support engineers Feedback has been gathered from these people through various methods: Interview (primary source) Active observation (e.g. during meetings) Passive observation (e.g. rumours, chance comments, etc.) Note: There was very little unsolicited feedback!

Chris Plummer - 31/3/2003 SOIF Main comments 1. The documents are not consistent 2. The documents are unclear 3. The documents are at too high a level to translate easily into industrial implementations 4. There are too many documents

Chris Plummer - 31/3/2003 SOIF Lessons learnt? Valuable information to help us improve the documentation Affirmation that obtaining feedback about the documentation must be an active process We need to ensure that all feedback is properly recorded and taken into account during the development of the recommendations
