Quickwrite from yesterday. What one change to the “valedictory” or honor roll system would you make here at Simeon? Why would you make that change?

AGENDA Irregular Verbs “Best in Class.”

“Best in Class” As you read, identify multiple perspectives on the issue of honoring valedictorians and salutatorians. Chart the students involved in the various conflicts regarding who wins the valedictory title. For example: ◦ Denny Davies vs. Kylie Barker Student Denny DaviesTook independent study course to overtake Barker in credits and win valedictorian Kylie BarkerWas passed over by Denny Davies as valedictorian; wanted to be valedictorian “ ‘pretty much forever.” Was named co-valedictorian with Davies.
