Why did it happen? Improved farming technology Fewer laborers needed to work the land New equipment meant farmers could work more efficiently Seed Drill Cotton GinCrop Rotation

What was the result? People could not find work in agriculture Laborers had to leave the farms to look for jobs in the city

What is the significance/importance?  Arrival of former farm workers meant plenty of labor to work in factories  Countries cannot industrialize without a large labor supply (growth of industrialization)
