5 World Conference on International Telecommunications (WCIT) Dubai 3-14 Dec 2012 Revision of the International Telecommunication Regulations (ITR)

 A Member State has the right to know how the route of its traffic is routed where technically feasible and where traffic route is predictable.  Member states shall, if they so elect, be able to control all naming, numbering, addressing and identification resources used within their territories for international telecommunications/ICT services.  Member States, in accordance to national law, shall cooperate to investigate, prosecute, correct and repair security breaches and incidents in timely manner. 6 Exampels on proposals for WCIT12
