Ramsar Activities WFF Projects 8 projects funded in 5 countries (Argentina, Brazil, Bolivia, Colombia and Mexico) with direct contribution to WHMSI (USD$127,559) For 2013, 5 more projects in Argentina, Colombia, Costa Rica and Mexico (USD$73,599)

Regional Initiatives in the framework of the Ramsar Convention International Collaboration Are well spread across the major Ramsar regions (Africa, Americas, Asia-Oceania,Europe). They cover a high variety of wetland types

The List of Wetlands of International Importance To develop and maintain and international network of wetlands which are important for the conservation of global biological diversity and for sustaining human life through the maintenance of their ecosystem components, processes and benefits/ services 2,065 Ramsar sites (197,347,539 ha) at the global level/394 in the Americas (59 Million ha)
