Welcome to Kindergarten! By-Mrs. Brewer

Meet your teacher! This is Mrs. Brewer. She loves animals, nature, reading and teaching kindergarten. She also likes to walk in the woods. Here she is walking on a trail in the Smoky Mountains, one of her favorite places.

Zack and Renae: This picture is of Mrs. Brewer’s children. They are both teachers also. Zack teaches Chemistry at Davidson High School and Renae teaches Language Arts at Hankins Middle School. Zack and Renae are all grown up and do not live with Mrs. Brewer anymore.

Mrs. Brewer’s Home:

Just kidding…. Really, Mrs. Brewer’s home is much smaller, as you can see by the kitchen in this picture. This picture is at Christmas, when Mrs. Brewer actually cooks. Renae really loves her mother’s cooking!

Principals: This is Mrs. Tillman and Mrs. Montgomery. They are your principals. You will see them often. They will help you learn about the school also.

Kindergarten Fun! You will have a lot of fun in kindergarten this year! Mrs. Brewer will help you learn many things. You will learn how to read and write and do math! You will also learn many new and interesting things about our world! You will do science experiments and learn new songs. On top of all that you will make many new friends. Kindergarten is a lot of fun!

Learning is fun!

Kindergarten Rules! First, Mrs. Brewer will teach you a few rules so you will know what to do. Just listen carefully when school starts and you will learn. We want our classroom to be a place where everyone is happy and learning, so rules help us to do that.

Classroom Rules: Go over these rules at home with your parents: Keep hands and feet to yourself. Use soft voices inside. Be a good listener. Be quiet in the hallways. Clean up your own messes.

Hopping Good Behavior! On the first day of school you will also learn about our frogs and the lily pad they live on. Mrs. Brewer will explain to you how your frog can stay on the lily pad!

See you soon! I hope this has helped you get to know me a little better and to see that kindergarten will be a lot of fun for you this year. I really need your help to make it all work! I am very excited to meet you and get to know you too! Your teacher, Mrs. Brewer
