 Second largest tornado outbreak ever.  30 F4/F5 recorded  148 tornados confirmed in 13 states  As many as 15 tornados going on at once  Damaged 900 square miles

This is what caused the storm a very mist and unstable lower atmosphere, a jet stream, wind shear, powerful upper level disturbances, warm air at the surface hitting cold air in the higher levels.

 Destruction in over 13 states.  3.5 billion dollars of damage  Killed over 314 people  Over a 1000 people were injured

 If your in your house stay in a basement or a closet without windows  If your outside try to find a ditch  Don’t go in high places  Don’t use electronics or phones.

 It was called the storm of the century.  There was a storm like it in 2011  There will probably be another one of these in the future
