Rainforests

Why are Rainforests so important? They provide a home for many plants and animals. Help stabilize the worlds climate. Protect against Flood, Drought and Erosion. They are a source for medicine and food. Support Tribal People. They are an interesting place to visit

What is a Mountain? The dictionary defines a mountain as that which is ‘ higher and steeper than a hill’. A mountain is a landform that rises high above the surrounding terrain in a limited area. They are made from rocks and earth. Generally, mountains are higher than 600 meters. Those less than 600 meters are called hills.

California’s Colorado Desert is part of the larger Sonoran Desert, which extends across the South West of North America. The Colorado Desert region encompasses approximately 7 million acres. The Colorado Desert is the home to many unique Flora and Fauna, many of which can be found nowhere else on the planet.
