What ideas did you have last lesson? Think back to your ideas about the Hindu god and goddesses that you looked at last lesson. Today we will find out if you were right.

Murtis Research Learning Objective: To independently research into the symbolism behind Hindu gods and goddesses.

What questions do you have? Write down on your piece of sugar paper one question you have about that particular god/goddess that you would like to find out this lesson.

Your task... Each group will be given one Hindu god or goddess to research. You will need to find out: What role they play 1 symbolic feature 1 interesting fact You can include more information if you have time.

Your role... There are several roles that need to be played during this task. These are: Researcher Reader Scribe Timer Make sure there is one or more person responsible for each of these roles.

Market Place One person is going to stay behind from your group and be the expert on your particular god/goddess. The rest of your group are going to visit the different market stalls to find out about a new god/goddess. You will then bring this information back to your group and tell them about it.
