Articulation Agreement Handbook Part I  Purpose of the handbook  Will be used as a training tool for new MACRAO members and as a tool to foster consistency of the MACRAO articulation agreement between institutions  Recap of the 2008 handbook presentation  Definitions  Best Practices

Transfer of MACRAO to the 4-year College University Curriculum MACRAO Transfer Agreement Minimum 30 credits General Education Requirements 30 or more credits Additional Gen Ed Support Courses/ Pre -Program Major/Minor/ Program Requirements Open Electives

Comparison of MACRAO to OTM  Similarities  Replaces GE requirements only  Allows additional GE requirements at receiving school  Posted on transcript  Differences  Minimum credits (30 vs 36-40)  Transfers 1 way vs both ways  Courses approved by community college vs state  Participation voluntary vs mandated by state

Articulation Agreement Handbook Part II  Based on last year’s feedback, the articulation committee created a draft of the handbook  Needs your further review and comments  Small groups will take different sections of the handbook to review  Report feedback to large group  Final draft will be sent to the MACRAO Executive Committee for review and approval  Distribution to members
