 Diego Rivera has different major themes that he chooses. These include social inequalities such as the relationship of nature, industry, and the history and fate of Mexico.

 Rivera had struggles with his feeling of discouragement and self-doubt.  He also described life as a constant uphill for him.  He is also prone to suppressing his feelings

 In 1897 Diego began studying painting at the San Carlos Academy of Fine Arts in Mexico City.  He was also influenced by the work of José Guadalupe Posada, who produced scenes of everyday Mexican life engraved on metal.
