INFORMATION ABOUT: Tapirs are mammals. They are distant related with the horses and they are very related with the rhinocerons, that are the most close alive family. They live in the Amazon and are meduim size animals.

APPEARANCE AND HABITS: They look like pigs with hair, with a short snout. They are 1,8 to 2,5 metres tall. Tapirs are active all the day, are peaceful animals and only agressive if they feel in danger. They eat leafs, grass and roots. They spend most of the day in swamps where they eat aquatic plants. They normally stay in the rainforest or swamps.

PREDATORS WHICH EAT THEM The predators that eat them are: Jaguar Tiger Tapirs try to be free from them jumping to the water, or running through the jungle, if the predators holds the tapir, it continue running through the jungle and slam the predator to branches and trees

WHY IS THE TAPIR UNIQUE? The reason why my animal, the tapir is unique is that: It´s a peaceful animal It´s the unique specie of the family that is not extint, nowadays it´s the only of a family of 9. Humans are the main threat of this animal, we are : Overhunting this animal Destroying their ecosytem Ways to prevent the extincion of this animal: Make natrural parks for this animals Regulate the hunting of tapires Not destroying their ecosystem respecting the Amazon

THANKS FOR YOUR ATENTION PLEASE SAVE THE TAPIRES
