THE TAPIR ENGLISH WORK By: Sergio López 1ºB

INFORMATION ABOUT: The Tapir is a mammal animal. They are distant relate with the horses and they are very relate with the rhinocerons, that are the most close alive family. They live in the Amazonas and are meduim longitude animals.

APPEARANCE AND HABITS: They looks like pigs with hair, with a short snout. They are 1,8 to 2,5 metres tall. The Tapires are active all the day , are peaceful animals only are agressive if they consider that are in danger. They eat leafs, grass and roots. Many hours of the day they stay in swamps where they eat aquatic plants. They normally stay in the rainforest or swamps.

PREDATORS WITCH EAT THEM The predators that eat them are: Jaguar Tiger The tapires try to liberate from thems throwing as to the water or running throw the jungle , if the predators has get hold the tapir, it follow running throw the jungle and slam the predator to branchs and trees

WHY IS THE TAPIR UNIQUE? The reason that my animal, the tapir is unique is that: It´s a pacific animal It´s the unique actually genus of the family that are not extint, nowadays it´s the only of a family of 9 genus. Humans are the principal threat of this animal, we are : Overhunting this animal Destroying their ecosytem Ways to prevent the extincion of this animal: Make natrural parks for this animals Regulate the hunting of tapires Not destroying their ecosystem, respecting the Amazonas
