HORIZONTAL COOPERARTION ON ERADICATION OF HUNGER AND POVERTY

 Why Cooperate?  Different backgrounds but similar problems  Booth learned lessons on the fight against hunger and poverty  A global food system needs better governance at national and international level

 Why is it Horizontal?  Exchanging experiences and sharing knowledge  Working together, facing similar challenges  Mutual development

 Why eradication of Hunger and Poverty?  The Right to Adequate Food  More than 800 million people are still hungry  The world currently produces enough food for everybody, but many people do not have access to it

 How does it work?  Exchanging Experiences  Improving food availability and incomes of the poor by enhancing their productive activities  Developing programmes that give the most needy families direct and immediate access to food.
