1. Overview 1-2 What is Active Directory? Active Directory (AD) is a directory service that Microsoft developed for Windows domain networks and is included in most Windows Server operating systems as a set of processes and services. (for detail : http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Active_Directory) The UC Pro AD tools is a tool for creating Schema Extensions of UC Server dedicated to the Microsoft Active Directory. Roughly to say, it adds UC Pro dedicated fields to the customer’s Active Directory. Note) Should consult with the customer IT management section for Schema Extensions. It is better to prepare 2 servers.(One is for UC server and other is for AD server)

Applications which are integrated into Active Directory should store their settings in fields which are specially reserved for this application with a schema extension. The schema extension is not compulsory. The settings are then stored in an existing field.
