Proposed Filter Base Mods Bead weld a Slip fit aluminum coupling (drill & tap for 1” straight thread) Install an aluminum disc (weld in place) No. 16 straight thread JIC fitting Tap and install a ½” pipe plug. (use silicon to seal plug) From filter J McCord April 1, 2005
