Alkali burn to the eye. This person was not wearing their goggles as required.

An exploded crucible. Glass shards everywhere.

Chemical burn. The chemical got trapped under the straps of the sandal Chemical burn. The chemical got trapped under the straps of the sandal. Enclosed shoes would have protected from this injury.

This person picked up a hot piece of glassware without hand protection.

The test tube was pointed the wrong way The test tube was pointed the wrong way. The boiling chemical spewed out and burned this student’s arm. This is both a heat and a chemical burn.

This man spilled sulfuric acid on his hand This man spilled sulfuric acid on his hand. These are 2nd degree burns from the acid.
