Free powerpoint template: 7 Materials and/or Equipment As you begin to BRAINSTORM remember to create a running list of all materials and equipment you will need to follow all the way through your process. Example: To make a CD I would need: a computer, a CD-R or CD-RW disc, a CD burner, music selections from the computer, internet connection, and sharpie to write on the CD.

Example: The first thing I do in the morning when my alarm goes off is to reach over slowly to the night stand on the left side of my bed and with my left my index finger I gently touch the red button that is located on the lower top right hand corner of the alarm.

Free powerpoint template: 9 Mental Images Once you have the topic, materials list, and an idea of how to do something, you can draw step-by- step pictures to aid in your readers understand of the process. Example: To demonstrate how to fix a flat bicycle tire you might draw pictures of the items needed.

Using the three column note strategy, brainstorm all of your steps, materials, and vocabulary terms. Draft an essay for your process. Get with a peer and revise and edit your essays. Publish a final copy to read to your classmates. You will also demonstrate your process your process to the class. You will be graded on effort and achievement using the rubrics on the following page.
