The scientific method is an organized way of solving a problem. Scientist use the scientific method to solve a problem that they have. When you are using the scientific method you have to right down data or information. They collect the data so they know if their hypothesis is true or not.

 What kind of flavor do I have inside my piece of candy?

 I think my piece of candy is strawberry filling covered with dark chocolate. I think this because it looks like it has strawberry filling and the chocolate looks like it is dark chocolate with milk chocolate mixed with it so the dark chocolate doesn’t taste so bitter.

 The control is the candy. The variable is your senses your senses can change and a variable is something that you can change but you can only change one thing at a time or you will not know what you did wrong in your problem.

 First I used my senses and tried to figure what was inside my piece of candy. The sense that really helped me was my taste I think that really helped me and the sense of smell helped me to.

 My piece of candy is smooth on the sides, and bumpy on the top, its squishy, it also has sharp edges, the piece of candy also has wholes in the bottom of it. It also is sticky, it taste like coffee, and smells like coffee.

I think my piece of candy is caramel covered with dark chocolate with a little bit of milk chocolate mixed with it. I think this because I tasted dark chocolate before and this time it didn’t taste very bitter. The caramel was very sticky when I felt it. When I taste the caramel it taste like caramel and it is hard to chew when I ate it so that’s why I think it is caramel covered with chocolate.

 Yes I did figure out what was in my piece of candy but I got it wrong the first time. The first time I thought it was strawberry filling covered with dark chocolate but my piece of candy is caramel covered with dark chocolate.
