Michigan Partners for Freedom5 HOW We got started… Center for Self-Determination Immersion Learning (2004) Planned action to address lack of real implementation of Self-Determination in Michigan Developed network to support consumers & families in the pursuit of Self-Determination

Michigan Partners for Freedom6 WHY Individuals with disabilities & their families do not have good information on how to go about doing Self-Determination. Consumers need to lead the movement for building demand for Self-Determination.

Michigan Partners for Freedom7 Systems need to partner with others to build a more “person friendly” system of services and supports. Local advocates, allies and service providers are having difficulties building demand for Self- Determination in their local communities. WHY
