Unskilled Labor  Requires no special skills, education or training.  Usually earn hourly wages  Examples: dishwashers, messengers, factory and farm workers

Semi-skilled Labor  Minimal specialized skills and education  Usually earn an hourly wage  Examples: lifeguards, equipment operators, short-order cooks, some construction workers

Skilled Labor  Requires specialized abilities and training  Need little supervision  Usually earn an hourly wage rather than a salary  Examples: auto mechanics, bank tellers, plumbers, firefighters, etc.
