Problem Analysis Global developments People are continuously influenced and change is constant Humanity has never gone through so many transformative changes as in the past 100 years Globalisation facilitates exchange of ideas and beliefs Local developments There is a roughness in the way we deal with each other While giving feedback In traffic While providing service Roughness is not addressed for fear of being meddlesome Values are taught, but these are scattered and stand alone initiatives A global need to redefine our moral compass: the values for living

Target Group Primary target group: youth between 0 and 20 years old, as the bearers of the values of the society of the future. Secondary target group: the parents of the current youth. Research shows children between 3 and 8 are still able to influence their parents behaviour. In the end, the entire society will be influenced by the results of value based skills training.

Goal and results Develop initiatives and strengthen organisations in their efforts to provide and deal with value based education and skills training Create a network to exchange ideas, solutions and challenges with regards to approaches towards value based education and skills training Offer possibilities to improve and strengthen ethical leadership within Non- Governmental Organisations

Strategy Involve youth organisations to create critical mass for a bottom-up approach for Value Based Skills Training Talk with organisations from all walks of life Identify common elements in their approach Build on, appreciate and strengthen what is already there and search for common ground Keep it simple and accessible Measure and report on results (start, mid term and end)

Results Value Based Skills 1.Over a period of six months, mindful and continuous attention has been paid to values by a pilot group of youth organisations, using space repetition, focus and emotions 2.A platform is created to exchange ideas, solutions and challenges 3.Peer-to-peer influence has attracted new organisations to join the network and attention within society Ethical Leadership 4.Selected leaders of Non- Governmental Organisations have attended a training to improve their ethical leadership skills 5.New leaders have been identified to attend the training

Benefits It builds shared values, leaving norms open to be determined by each organisation It facilitates communication between organisations, which results in a network It creates focus, which in turn will lead to a change in behaviour that potentially effects society
