Divine Revelation is the truths that God has made known to us. He did this not to one person or at one time He first chose Adam and Eve, then Abraham. Abraham is know as the father of God’s chosen people All the writings of God’s early revelations is found in the Old Testament

The Old Testament The entire Bible is written on the authority and inspiration of God therefore the Bible is infallible The Old Testament contains the: Historical, Wisdom and Prophetic Books Historical Books=The religious and historical traditions of the Jewish people Wisdom Books= A collection of prayers, wise sayings and advice often written as poetry. Prophetic Books=Words and messages delivered by God’s specially chosen spokespeople or Prophets.

New Testament This is the most important part of the Bible for Christians as it contains the life and teachings of Jesus. Gospels= 4 accounts of Jesus’ life and message of salvation Act of the Apostles= ministry of St. Peter as he started the early Church Letters= messages to Christians of the early church telling them how all believers should live. Revelation= reminds and encourages persecuted Christians that Jesus will always be victorious over his enemies.
