CH 8 Factorial Designs

Section 8.1 and 8.2Two-way Factorials

For describing the interaction effect, it’s is easiest to interpret This is the difference between the A treatment means rather than differences from the overall mean. We could find a confidence interval for this to describe the size of the interaction effect

We can also do an ANOVA with blocks By including block effects similar to the A and B main effects. Often interactions with blocks are not included in the ANOVA. Other software such as Design Expert or SAS-JMP are simpler to use for these more complicated analyses.
