ESC Success Last year we received £5,000 from the Electrical Safety Council

We had existing contractors that were able to deliver We run the minor electrical repairs alongside the HP scheme We had a previously tendered PIR price We now had the funding to pay for electrical reports Repair funding was accessible for serious faults Electrical enquiries could be dealt with quickly Referral for other services Benefit checks

The Work 62 jobs were completed 46 were small scale works < £ Periodic Inspections were completed 2 x £500 grants were awarded Almost £120,000 of alternate funding was obtained for other work identified

Examples of the work We followed the ESC eligibility Criteria and fitted RCD protection replaced/repaired and installed sockets Repaired lights and lighting circuits Installed showers Commissioned electrical Reports Obtained further funding

Benefits The ESC funded interventions has been highly valued relieved anxiety led to referrals for other services and funded interventions introduced clients to HIA’s services & trusted contractors may have stopped accidents, visits to the Doctors and A&E in all cases improved quality of life.
