COMMERCIAL REVOLUTION Increased Trade. Merchants’ wealth and power increased. More cash, banking, and lending services available. More workers needed. Merchants’ taxes increase the king’s power and wealth. More money available for building businesses. Serfs moved to town; workers paid for labor.
