Winter in America © 1999 Plank Road Publishing Music K-8, Vol. 10 #2 John Riggio Used with Permission PowerPoint by Ralph Shoemaker III

I like the snow. I like it deep. So deep it comes up to my nose. Achoo!

I go outside To check it out. Before long, I can’t feel my toes. Anyone seen my toes?

But that’s okay. I’m here to stay I’ll sled down a hillside or two. Whoa!

I get into A snowball fight, And come home before I turn blue. (Vocal Chattering)

Winter in America. Cold up North. Ev’rything’s frozen.

Winter in America. Warm down South. You might go swimmin’!

Winter in America. All depends on where you’re livin’!

I like the beach! I like to swim! I like getting tan on my head. Ahhh!

Sometimes I might Lay out too long, Uh oh. And look like a lobster instead. Don’t touch me!

I ride my bike. Play Volleyball. I jump on the trampoline, too. Whee!

I fly my kite. It’s outta sight! The fun outdoor things I can do!

Winter in America. Cold up North. Ev’rything’s frozen.

And so you see The diff’rences Diverse winters in the same land. How do they do it?

For some it snows. For some it rains. For some it will be rather bland. Yay. (lethargically)

With snow or sun, By sled or sail, Or just hangin’ out in the sun. La, La, La! (melodically)

The good thing is In either place, Our winter can be lots of fun! (Cheering)
