Accessible and energy-efficient mobility for all! Project ISEMOA – Improving seamless energy-efficient mobility chains for all Contract N°: IEE/09/862/SI Project duration: Project-website: Update of these project-slides: May 2013, by FGM-AMOR

Accessible and energy-efficient mobility for all! Project ISEMOA – Improving seamless energy-efficient mobility chains for all ISEMOA encourages and supports municipalities, cities and regions to improve the accessibility of their public spaces and public transport, and thus to enable all their inhabitants and visitors (including PRM*) to adopt a less car-dependent lifestyle. The ISEMOA quality management scheme (moderated audit-process) has been implemented in 18 municipalities/cities/regions in 14 European countries. Improving seamless energy-efficient mobility chains for all Coordinated by FGM-AMOR, Austria; Contact: 19 Partners + 1 Subcontractor from 15 EU countries Project duration , Funded by the EC – Intelligent Energy Europe Contract N°: IEE/09/862/SI * people with reduced mobility

Accessible and energy-efficient mobility for all! Project ISEMOA – Improving seamless energy-efficient mobility chains for all  Thus there’s a high potential for energy-savings in transport, when public space and public transport would be accessible for all Background PRM currently represent more than a third of the European population (about 10% of the population are disabled people, but PRMs include for example also people with heavy luggage, with small children, temporary impairments, people with communication problems,…) PRM are currently more dependent on car use than other people since PRM usually face a lot of barriers both in public space and in public transport.

Accessible and energy-efficient mobility for all! Project ISEMOA – Improving seamless energy-efficient mobility chains for all Objectives by increasing the accessibility of public transport and thus increasing the quality and attractiveness of public transport by increasing the accessibility of public spaces and thus enabling PRM to walk and cycle safely by improving the accessibility of day-to-day services for pedestrians, cyclists and public transport users  Encourage and support local and regional authorities and entities to enable PRM to adopt less car-dependent lifestyles  Support learning and know-how exchanges between practitioners, employees of administrative bodies, and experts through audits and networking activities

Accessible and energy-efficient mobility for all! Project ISEMOA – Improving seamless energy-efficient mobility chains for all Results of the ISEMOA project  ISEMOA quality-management schemes (ISEMOA QMS) tailor made for municipalities, cities and regions, including ready-to-use working materials for stakeholders and auditors available in 13 European languages  ISEMOA QMS successfully implemented in 18 sites (municipalities, cities and regions) in 14 European countries  European-wide network of ISEMOA-auditors comprises more than 225 trained ISEMOA auditors in 16 countries, who are ready to support municipalities, cities, and regions all over Europe with the implementation of the ISEMOA QMS  Promotion of the ideas and knowledge of ISEMOA via 119 presentations at over 250 events, 3 electronic newsletters sent to more than 2500 interested stakeholders, 50 press releases and articles submitted to local, regional and international media, and a website ( ) and 3 informative brochures available in 13 languageswww.isemoa.eu
